Lily has been a tenant in Chambers since completing pupillage in 2010. She enjoys a diverse practice, accepting instructions in crime, public and in regulatory matters.
General CrimeLike all members of chambers, Lily has a strong criminal practice, prosecuting and defending in the Crown, magistrates' and youth courts. As a member of the CPS Advocates' Panel, Lily prosecutes for the CPS.
Fraud, bribery and corruptionLily has accepted instructions from the Serious Fraud Office in relation to both the investigatory and disclosure stages of cases. She is presently instructed in two significant investigations into suspected international, banking fraud and suspected international, corporate bribery and corruption.
PublicLily has been involved in a number of sensitive and high profile cases. Lily has assisted with various large-scale disclosure exercises, including in relation to Iraqi civilian claims against the government and most recently in relation to claim for damages arising out of a financial restrictions order (Bank Mellat v Her Majesty’s Treasury).
Lily has also advised the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in relation how to respond to Data Protection Act requests.
In 2015 Lily was instructed by Government Legal Department to assist witnesses in their responses to the Iraq Inquiry.
